Onion Skinning is an animation term for a technique used in making cartoons and editing movies to see multiple frames at once.
In older times when making movies, the artist would draw the picture on "Onion Skin" type paper and make movements on layers surrounding it and come up with something that would look sort of like this....

best photoshop
I gotta say my strongest picture has to be the street art created in Photoshop CS3simply because of the message it delivers which I'm basically saying that the goverment is simply throwing away our money.
How I made it was I was grab a tin trash can, Uncle Sam's hat and a a dollar sign and re-size them (of course).
Then i simply applied a threshold to a point where you can see the edges clearly enough.
So you couldn't see the black, to make the image seem as if it were painted, i added a screen effect.
But when that was all taken care of the lines were very faded so I simply copied and layered the layers to give it a denser lines so they weren't faded.
